  • GUST Networks Professor, Dr. Israa Omran, organized a two-week training program for her class in collaboration with the university’s IT Department, the first of its kind for the university. The goal of the training is to provide the students with hands-on experience in a real work environment that compliments what they’ve been learning throughout the semester.

  • GUST held its first Chorus performance last week comprised of the students from the Chorus class, led by Instructor and Conductor Dr. David Miller. The students performed several musical numbers ranging from Penny Lane by The Beatles, to Hallelujah from Shrek, and even an Arabic song by Fairouz.

  • The English Department organized a poetry workshop last week, where students were asked to practice writing poetry and short stories both Arabic and English. Intructors in both languages, specialized in the art, were there to guide the students on the correct writing techniques, work flows, and tips to improve.
