GUST Signs Articulation Agreement with Algonquin College - Kuwait
GUST, Kuwait’s first private university, today signed an articulation agreement with the Canada’s Algonquin College - Kuwait (AC-Kuwait). The agreement will allow AC-Kuwait graduates to directly transfer to GUST and pursue their bachelor’s degrees.
With the final agreement signed, a joint committee from both institutions will evaluate the specific courses taken at AC-Kuwait that can be automatically transferred to GUST.
GUST President, Professor Donald Bates, said, “This new agreement enhances our position as a provider of quality programs. GUST is extremely proud to partner with a reputable Canadian college, which gives us the opportunity to shape the futures of more aspiring young minds, and cement our position as the premier private university in Kuwait”.
Algonquin College, a relative newcomer to the educational arena in Kuwait, opened its doors in 2015 as a branch of Canada’s Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
AC-Kuwait President, Dr. Dave McHardy, said, “Our vision at Algonquin College is to be recognized as a leading educational institution in Kuwait responsive to the needs of the local labor market for highly-qualified individuals. By partnering with GUST, we will be able to provide our students with all of the necessary skills and tools necessary for success.”
The agreement between the two education institutions is set for five academic years, and will cover degrees offered at GUST’s Colleges of Arts & Sciences and Business Administration.
