GUST Professor Anthony Gould Receives Prestigious Award
Dr Anthony M Gould from the College of Business, has been awarded Emerald Group Publishing’s prestigious “Outstanding Reviewer” Prize for 2016 (Emerald Literati Network Outstanding Reviewer Prize). The prize was awarded in August this year at the Academy of Management Annual General Meeting held in Los Angeles. Dr Gould who, aside from his role at GUST, currently holds the title of Professeur titulaire at Laval University in Quebec City Canada and is a Visiting Full Professor at the Griffith Business School in Brisbane, Australia could not be present to collect his award personally but asked another of our faculty, Dr Kathleen Park (also from the College of Business), to receive the prize on his behalf. Emerald Group Publishing is the largest distributor of elite scholarly journals in the world and is well known to active researchers across all disciplines and within leading research institutions.
Dr Gould, Dr Park and Dr Janet Testerman (from GUST’s college of Arts and Sciences) presented a paper (Language Learning and Business Internationalization: Corporate Expansion from the Arabian Gulf to the World) at the Academy of Management Conference this year which was held back to back with the Academy’s AGM. The Academy of Management Annual Conference is widely acknowledged as the world`s most exclusive conference forum for showcasing management and work-related scholarship.
